Johns Hopkins Hospital Board of Trustees Elects New Member
New Ex Officio Member Also Joins Board
James T. Dresher Jr., a local business leader, has been elected to The Johns Hopkins Hospital Board of Trustees. In addition, Alice Reid, first vice president of The Women's Board of The Johns Hopkins Hospital, has joined the board as an ex officio member.
At its recent annual meeting, The Hopkins Hospital Board also reelected Chairman Lenox Baker Jr., M.D., and Vice Chairman Shale Stiller.
Dresher is founder and CEO of Skye Hospitality LLC, a firm that develops, owns and manages hotels in the Mid-Atlantic region. Skye's hotel properties are franchised within the Marriott and Hilton Hotel systems. He also is a partner in Skye Associates, a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage technology companies. The Bel Air resident is a founding member of Baltimore's Ronald McDonald House and is a former president of the Eastern Area Community Development Corporation.
Reid began a career in marketing with VanSant Dugdale before moving to Control Data Corporation. She subsequently entered the field of medical publishing with Williams & Wilkins, and later, Milner-Fenwick. The Monkton resident currently serves as a volunteer in several organizations.
