–Takes the lead in all categories--
For the fifth year in a row, the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins has been named the best overall ophthalmology program in the country by Ophthalmology Times magazine.
This is the first year that any eye program has ranked No. 1 in all the categories evaluated by the magazine: best overall eye program, best research, best clinical care and best residency training program.
“The Wilmer Eye Institute is known throughout the world, not only for research, but for management of both common and exceptionally complex, serious eye conditions,” says Morton F. Goldberg, M.D., Wilmer director. “We place special emphasis on the coordinated approach to simultaneously occurring eye diseases, and to making that care user-friendly. We are honored to be recognized by an academy of our peers for these efforts.”
The write-up will appear in the Oct. 15 issue of the magazine.
