After months of renovation, a sparkling Tindeco Health Center will be celebrating a grand re-opening on Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Refreshments, free give-aways, coupons for health screenings and tours of the renovated facility will be featured.
Located at 2809 Boston Street, overloooking the Harbor in Canton, Tindeco is one of 18 medical centers operated by Johns Hopkins Medical Services Corporation. In addition to primary health care, the center also provides OB/GYN and dental services, health and nutrition education, social services and an on-site pharmacy to residents of southeast Baltimore and the surrounding areas.
Tindeco Health Center has a staff of 37 physicians, nurses, medical assistants, social workers, health educators and other personnel. Dr. Paige Kilian joins lead physician Dr. Marc Shiffman in internal medicine and pediatricians Dr. Catherine Parrish and Dr. Joseph Schutt-Aine. Donna Kline, practice manager of the center, says, "We are thrilled with the renovations at Tindeco, as well as the overall renaissance of the entire Boston Street area. Our facility now is inviting and functional and allows us to serve our patients better."
