Linda Pugh, R.N.C., Ph.D., assistant Professor of Nursing at the Johns Hopkins University, has received the 1993 Mead Johnson Nutritonals Perinatal Research Grant for her work in studying Postpartum fatigue in breastfeeding primaparous women. The award, funded through Sigma Theta tau, will allow Pugh to study the effects of early discharge on new mothers and the difference outreach nurse visits can make to mothers in reducing their fatigue and increasing the length of time their babies are breastfed.
