On Wednesday, June 22, from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Turner Concourse, parents and children who have "graduated" from the Children's Center's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will return to visit the nurses and doctors who cared for them.
This year's "class" numbers more than 700 from Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia, and includes one set of quads, four sets of triplets and 15 sets of twins. 'ne NICU treats 500 to 600 infants annually, some as young as 24 weeks at birth, and weighing less than 1 1/2 pounds.
