Fourteen students from the Gilman School will visit the Johns Hopkins Children's Center's emergency department on Friday, April 15, at 1 p.m. as a reward for reading the most hours during their annual read-a-thon. The students read for 4,100 hours.
Gilman's lower school chose the Children's Center as its charity this year, raising more than $149,000.
Among the highlights of the visit will be a trip to the Children's Center's heliport, the chance to make finger casts, and the opportunity to see the daily routine of a children's emergency room.
