Humorist Art Buchwald will be the guest speaker at a lecture on "Humor and Medicine" on Tuesday, May 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Shriver Hall at the Johns Hopkins University. He will be introduced by Washington Post Vice President Ben Bradlee. Proceeds will benefit the Lucas Scott Livingston Memorial Fund at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center.

Lucas Livingston died May 1992 at the Children's Center after a five-month struggle with leukemia. His family has worked with the Tremont Plaza Hotel in Baltimore to create the Lucas Scott Livingston Memorial Suite, a place to bring comfort to out-of-town families whose children are being treated at the Center.

The family needs between $150,000 and $200,000 to begin a perpetual endowment to provide the room year-round. So far, they have raised about $120,000.
