Welcome to the Day Hospital
The Psychiatric Day Hospital is one of the voluntary programs of the Henry Phipps Psychiatric Services. This program works closely with the Phipps inpatient and outpatient programs, the community, clinics, and private physicians. This information is organized to answer many questions that patients, families, therapists, and doctors have asked us. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask any of our staff. The aim of the Day Hospital is to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and treatment for people suffering from an emotional or mental disorder. The goal of this program is to provide services to those patients who would otherwise require inpatient hospitalization and to those for whom outpatient care does not suffice. Some of the goals for the Day Hospital include improving your symptoms, helping you gain insight into your illness, medication education, and compliance with treatment. |
